1. Install on a safe foundation

1. Back up WordPress files and the database.
2. Download the current plugin from Updates.
3. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, then activate it.
4. Review settings and test a small set of posts first.

2. Give every destination a purpose

Choose pages that answer a specific need. Group related guides and avoid sending the same ambiguous anchor to competing destinations.

3. Make anchor text useful

Use words that fit the paragraph and describe the destination. Relevance matters more than turning every keyword into a link.

4. Review, apply, and verify

Open the destination, read the surrounding sentence, and check for an equivalent link. If the source has changed, generate a fresh suggestion. Inspect the published result on mobile as well.

5. Keep a rollback path

Use rollback only when its checks allow a safe reversal. Preserve later editorial changes and review conflicts manually. Rollback does not replace a complete backup. Practice in the lab
